I have reviewed several chapters of the book thus far and find the depth of knowledge presented to be impressive, Very happy with the level of detail. Unfortunately I have not yet found a download link for the scripts used to produce the output in the text.

Excellent content. The best book on the subject I've found so far. It would be nice if there was digital content but that is forgivable.

Just bought this book, but have not read it cover to cover yet. Discovered Kindle Cloud Reader DOES NOT ALLOW SEARCHING of this book? What is the deal with it???

"Oracle Database Problem Solving and Troubleshooting Handbook" is a good overview of how to troubleshoot and tune the Oracle Database. The book is divided into sections dealing with topics such as LOBs, undo, SQL and plan performance tuning, backup recovery, reading AWR reports, etc. I really appreciated the descriptions, with example usage, of the rich set of diagnostic and tuning tools available with the Oracle Database - ASH, AWR, ORACHK, hang analyzer, SPM, ADR, ADDM, etc. Awareness and mastery of these tools are incredibly helpful to the practicing DBA. The authors also devoted 2 full chapters on how to read AWR reports. This is a skill that is indispensable to every Oracle DBA.Note that the book covers 11g features and their improvements in 12c; it does not cover new 12c features such as multi-tenant or in-memory. But it is nevertheless a very useful book.

Interesting book! ut as someone already mentioned it, authors have to put scripts used in this book to download for all users...Today, all readers have no time to enter commands that author can put for them online...
