I bought this book at the introductory price of $4, but even at full price it is well worth the money. Forty unique designs with a black background, plus a section of full-sized sample pages from her other books, making a total of nearly 50 individual pages to colour. There are a lot of mandalas and repeating patterns in this book, but none of them are overly-complex, so it's good for a relaxing colouring session when you don't want to think too hard, and the non-mandala pages are really cute (the mandalas are cute too...) I would call her linework simple, but never childish. The only negative mark I'd give it is for the thin paper, but the pages are single-sided so you can slide a sheet of cardstock or cardboard underneath to protect the rest of the book while you're colouring, and she gives permission to recopy the pages for private use if you want to use a medium that requires much sturdier paper or experiment with colour combinations (she advises it!). I also like the fact that she has a little credit line on the margin of each page so you don't have to wonder where it came from if you take it out of the book for display or to share your finished artwork online. It's right there for everyone to see with a space to add your name and date if you want to record such things. This is the first of her books I've purchased, but it won't be the last.
This is a gorgeous coloring book!!! The pictures are all done on a striking black background. The drawings are all one-sided so you can remove a page to work on without ruining another picture. I love the drawings and will certainly enjoy working on them!!!
I love Lights Out! This book is filled with fun and easy pictures. You can relax and color while not having to worry about going out if the lines if you make a mistake. Every image has a black background so that any color you use will really stand out! Every page is single sided so you never have to worry about ruining a picture on the other's side of what you are coloring. You can use any medium for these pictures, the brighter the better. This book is fun for all ages. I have colored so many already tgat I should order another one for this price!

I bought one if these for each of my kids for Christmas. I am very pleased with the quality of the book. It is large, sturdy and the pages are thick enough that you can color with marker without it bleeding through to the next page. I love the black background, as it makes everything stand out more. Very eye catching!

If you have someone who enjoys coloring or you think they might, no matter what age, you can't go wrong with Lights Out or any of Sue's OrnaMentals books.
Sue is a wonderful and talented artist .I enjoy her artwork and positive messages.This book looks awesome with bright markers and gel pens .
