I should have done more research before ordering this book.All I wanted was a book of vegetarian recipes for the 2 days per week that I eat 500-600 calories, per the 5:2 intermittent fasting approach. This book is not it. And definitely not for $17. The 7 or so recipes included at the end of the book don't even list their calorie contents! And hint: I wouldn't buy a book about vegetarian intermittent fasting if I needed to be convinced to fast or follow a vegetarian diet.This thin volume appears to be self-published, which doesn't necessarily mean there's anything wrong with it, but the lack of an index and the crooked printing on many of the pages does limit its appeal as a credible source of information. Add all the superfluous information about fasting and vegetarianism (which, again, I didn't need) and the lack of calorie information for the handful of recipes included, and this book was a waste of $17 for me.Maybe it's what you're looking for, but I still think the price is steep for what you get.
Ive been intermittent fasting for a week after reading up on it. this book is straight to the point and explains how to fast a few different ways. If you are interested in losing weight, feeling healthier and having more energy, i would suggest this book. its a great read in a short book. I'm already feeling great.

I like the approach of this intermittent fasting, no meal plan, no meal prepping, no off limits foods, you can eat what ever you want, it is just a pattern of eating. The author discussed clearly what this pattern of eating all about which is a habit that you can easily integrate into your life. Content of this book may guide you lose weight without depriving yourself eating your favorite foods.
I liked that this book enforced somethings I knew, while bringing a good amount of information that I did not know. It answered the WHY of some of the benefits I knew of but could not explain why. I like that it was short and to the point. I was able to finish it within 2 hours while working.
I picked this up to check out this fasting approach I've heard a lot about. Ms. Clark's book is informative and easy to follow. I'm glad to have this introduction to the intermittent fasting process.
I read this in one sitting and it was an easy and informative read for the price! I wasn't looking for anything too in depth and was reading out of curiosity and from a referral.
Author did a great job on this book. It has some great information based on research in those chapters. I have read most books on fasting, and this had some new information. Like most diet books, much of the this one is full of recipes. I would say that one limitation of this book is that he seemed to have given up very quickly on real fasting - which is not all that hard - in order to seize upon this "semi-fasting" plan - which is not actually fasting at all - its more accurately called "calorie restriction" two days a week. For that interested in facing, I have found that it makes it easier if you start a few days before the fast to eat smaller and smaller meals, and to eat later and later in the day - then the fast is easier to start. The hardest part and most critical part are how you end the fast because at that point when you start eating again, food becomes a drug and you need someone to help you from binging and making it all for naught.The book has lots of evidence for why this diet is beneficial not only for weight loss but also for health in general. It also tells how to maintain weight if you start at a healthy weight and you don't need to lose weight and just want to adopt this lifestyle. Overall a good book.
