I really enjoyed this book. It tells the story of Timothy Leary from his time as a professor through his time in prison and time in the run and eventual recapture as a true story the best spy novelist couldn’t have made up. One thing is for sure. Nixon could have had Leary back in custody long before he did if it hadn’t been for his own blunders and making of enemies. Highly recommended.
One of the most captivating, riveting "history" books I've read about the era I grew up in. It was pure chaos ... and its comforting to know Nixon was a bit more batshit crazy then our current administration!! Love it!!
You will not believe the levels to which the highest office in America will sink to stay in power. This book is a must read!
I was young and quite unaware of the details of Timothy Leary and the counter-culture movement. Love him or hate him, this is an objective detail of three tumultuous years! I like the objective presentation of facts by the author. Kept me turning pages as quickly as time allowed. Very enjoyable!
A great read full of quotes, music, drugs, crimes and sex. Travel the globe on the edge of your seat through Algeria, Switzerland, the dingy side of Cabal. The only thighs seedier are Nixon and Reagan with their unconstitutional brigades ablE enforcement. Its almost written song by song. A fun and enlightening read.
If you survived the 60's you will enjoy being taken back to that crazy time. If you missed it this is an accurate report of some of the insanity. Read it.

EXCELLENT READ! Well written and an eye-opener. Extremely well "documented" and if you've any interest in the Nixon era or Tim Leary, this is a must-read.
