The resident 10 year old loves StacyPlays, and as her mom, I do too. Stacy is kind, kid friendly, has a sense of adventure, and loves animals - I'll happily let my kiddo watch her YouTube videos and was happy to buy this for her.Well, it arrived yesterday and in just a couple of hours, my daughter had finished the book. This one took her a tiny bit longer to read simply because she kept stopping to tell me what Stacy was doing in the book and talking all about the funny quirks of the wolves. She loved them all, but especially Addison and Wink.The book has the same sense of humor and adventure that Stacy brings to her videos.Hope book 2 is done soon!Oh, and as Stacy might say: Go rescue a dog!

The book arrived yesterday and my 10 year old loves it! She read the entire book last night and is already asking when the next one will be out. Stacy inspired my daughter so much that she spent half of today writing her own book. One thing I really appreciate about Stacy is that she works hard to make quality content that is age appropriate. We were already huge fans of her minecraft and field trip videos and couldn't be more excited to start reading her books. If you're a fan of StacyPlays then I would definitely recommend buying Wild Rescuers!

What an amazing book! I love that you tied in your YouTube channel to this wonderful channel. My daughter, who is 9, just loves you! And because of that, I do too. I have four children, all with different tastes in books, games, hobbies and sports. I watch what they watch, I read what they read and I play what they play.....I have personally followed your channel because my daughter has asked me to, but now, this has extended our time together from watching you Minecraft to now spending time reading about your adventures! When is book #2 coming out? Highly recommended for parents and children!

I loved this book soooo much. It was so addicting and couldn't stop reading it. I was so extra and i love it. It had a dictionary at the back, had a real interview of a person who works with wolves, and it had pictures! Not many books these days have pictures anymore. This was a great book and would read it again.

My daughter says," I was on the edge of my seat reading, I can't wait for book 2 to come out. Reading Wild Rescuers: Guardians of the Tiga made me feel as if I was there alongside the wolves. I loved reading it!"

My 9 year old has been a fan of Stacy for a few years now. She said this book was "AMAZING!" and she hopes Stacy keeps writing more books.

Brad Thor is the master at taking and making a character into someone you want to know more about. I enjoy the Scott Harvath series even though there is always parts in each book that he repeats the story of the character which I've leaned to scan over along with the Tom Clancy's themed long winded explanations of the detailed description of each firearm each bomb and so on. I get it, it makes more pages and if your a first time reader it's enjoyable the first or second time you read through it. It gets real old when your into the 8th on up book in the series. If you like this series please look into Victor the assassin by Tom Wood, excellent writing and fast paced.

Let me say that I have read all of Brad Thor's books with the exception of 2. ALL, I repeat all are fantastic. When I finish one I go to the next. My husband and I both read all of of Vince Flynn novels too. They both write riveting, exciting, and true to life books. I can't put them down. I would recommend trying to read them in chronological order if possible. Then you can get a sense of where Scot Harvath is in his life. Even though these books are fiction, they make you wonder if this is really going on. If so, I'm glad to know it. Bless those black ops, CIA and clandestine operatives. They are the ones who are protecting us in real life. FANTASTIC READ !!!!!!!!

Action packed throughout. This one held my interest because the theme seems to match current events. World terrorism exists not just in the US. Seems that, no matter how much some media wish to portray the US as a perpertrator, the issue revolves around Muslim extremists, who cannot maintain peace even amongst themselves. This sounds like a political viewpoint, but there comes a point when one must accept that this is a worldwide problem that won't go away by just ignoring the issues.The author tells a good tale and has done his research well. The outcome was not as peaceful as I might have imagined. Therefore I give kudos for the reality portrayed bythe writer. A good substantial read.

Thor has a high level of angst and awe associated with Islamic terrorism, and he is at least partly correct. He points out the flaw in our behavior of dealing with our enemies with a set of western principles that they would never use with us. His heroes are reasonably human and his bad-guys are intelligent. He has no problems dealing with global conflicts. This book drew me in and drove me to buy and read the sequel. I like Thor's writing style and the way he moves the action. My one reservation is that if the terrorists are as far ahead of us as he describes we have already lost. Thanks to the heroes of his books Western Civilization lives on to fight another day.

Second time I have read this book after a year and it was totally new again. Brad Thor ALWAYS tells a great story that you can't put down. I have read all the Scott Harvath stories twice and they never get old. Hurry Mr.Thor, I need more new Scott Harvath books!!!!

Just like the novels before, this one is jump started immediately. Apparently Sookie has inherited something from her cousin Hadley. For years, the Stackhouse family had thought Hadley was on drugs. Turns out, she was a vampire and now she's been murdered.Sookie has a new suitor vying for her favor. Quinn is a weretiger who first met Sookie at the packmaster choosing ceremony and it seems that she made such an impression on him that he wants to date her.So much happens in Louisiana when Sookie goes to collect her cousin's belongings. The queen of Louisiana has made an alliance/marriage with the king of another state. This ceremony happens to be going on during Sookie's visit.If you think Sookie has led a danger filled life before, then you'll be shocked at all the danger that constantly surrounds her in this book. Not only that, but Sookie faces a horrible betrayal; one that she doesn't believe she'll ever be able to forgive.I truly loved all the thrilling action in this book. Amazing how far people are willing to go to deceive others and acquire what they truly want most.

Definitely Dead is definitely different from the previous Sookie books in the way the plot develops. This books switches focus at the beginning and shines on the domestic side of Sookie, to get us grounded again in a bit of the personal everyday side of life. In this book, Sookie begins dating Quinn, the Were Tiger, which at the end of the story, results in the cover art. Sookie this time after some disallusionment with Bill, decides that she will pace herself with the romance, and take things slow. Yet slow doesn't necessarily mean not steamy...Charlaine develops the world of Sookie Stackhouse quite nicely with this book, especially the idea of good witches with powers more akin to Samantha, and the idea of backstabbing political intrigue with the mystery regarding the death of Sookie's cousin Hadley. The whole of the story revolves around the Queen of Louisiana and her marriage to the King of Mississippi, and the former were turned vamp who shows up in typical Sookie fashion in a closet!Another developmental idea is the idea of Sookie using her powers for good. Not only as an excuse to get her into all sorts of vampire functions, like all the books before, but for actual benefit to the community. The idea of this is so obvious, but for some reason has never occured to me before reading about that in this book. Now some caveats are learned about this activity in the next book, so please relish this little vignette and enjoy it, because it might not happen much in the future.On the romance side, Eric forces some serious disallusionment with Bill by revealing his secret life as the Queen's spy, and Quinn really finds himself helpless to take the edge off that shocker. Other than that, the romance in this book is slow, and a bit tedious in her pursuit of a guy which we know she wont wind up with in the end. But, if you exercise your patience, you'll stop and notice that Quinn seems nice, and is a refreshing change of pace from Sookie's past beaus.The action and the mystery combine at the end, as key plot elements come together, and mysteries are solved in the aftermath. People who crave vampire/were blood soaked action will find this story right up their alley, as swords chop chop chop up unwilling victims left and right. I feel like beheading certainly qualifies as the title inspiration of definitely dead.Emotionally, this book is great. You really feel great depths of despair at Bill's shocking revelation, and a parade of others as this story takes you on unexpcted twists and turns. If there was anything missing it was that true love mushy mushy type stuff which really has been absent since book 1 now that I think about it.This is a very good book, regardless what others have said. I believe someone said that Sookie wouldn't like 'The Prouducers' which could be realistic since she was going on a date and didn't really get to pick what show she would watch. Charlaine has never been shy about using real world business establishments like Ralph and Kacoo's, and Walmart and apparently is not worried about using real world shows which will date the books. I've always enjoyed the fact that the events in these books supposedly occur just before they are published which leaves them hopelessly dated. I mean, Sookie doesn't have a cell phone for several books...and isn't really keeping up with the information age anyway.Recommended.

Sookie Stackhouse # 6. Many new characters. Much action with many different strands evolving together. As always, the likeable main character, Sookie Stackhouse (who works in a bar), is beat up and survives to tell the tale. Farfetched situations and wacky (and chilling) characters populate this novel.One set of issues--those who have more than a passing interest in Sookie as a woman (her former lovers, the vampires Bill and Eric; her would-be lovers, Sam and Alcide; her new interest--Quinn). Needless to say, none of the aforementioned "men" is human.Also, relatives of someone whom Sookie killed in self-defense are using every tool at their disposal to avenge the death of their relative (although they cannot prove that Sookie did the deed). So, she gets beat up and accosted more than once in this subplot.The story revolves around the death of one of Sookie's relatives, Hadley, who had been a vampire and associated with the Queen of Louisiana. This, in turn, is tied to the marriage of convenience between the King of Arkansas and the Queen of Louisiana. It is clear that this is NOT a marriage of warmth early on! Much of the thrust of events is the playing out of the (not so) hidden hostilities and plans based on Hadley's actions before her death. And Sookie becomes a component of the unfolding plotting.Things play out, with the denouement featuring her decision to forever cast one of her loves off, even though he had once been important to her. But, there appears to be some hope for romance in her future. Of course, we'll have to see how this plays out in the next volume in this series. I would have liked to have had some of the familiar characters more involved in this novel, but many of the new players are of interest on their own merits.

If you are looking for information on how to build or maintain a wine cellar, this is not the book for you. On the other hand, if you are looking for a book on how to be a wine snob... written by THE wine snob, this may be your book! The part on building a spreadsheet has some merit.. but some of the following quotes from the book will give you an idea of the contents..."The only bottles I ever get are either great bottles meant to impress or those brought by wine-challenged people who have absolutely no idea: B. V. Coastal. ........ I put them in the closet marked "cooking wine" (page 7)He calls the wine column of the Wall Street Journal by Gaiter and Brecher "two nincompoops" (page 31). I happen to like their advice.He is a strong advocate for hiring a company to organize your wine cellar for you... and he owns just such a company.And his comments that no wine under $50 a bottle seems worthy of a wine cellar... I only know what I like, but I have had some very good wines that were $12 a bottle... on page 86 his interpretation of the wine point scale states that anything 86 or under, it would be better to drink a beer. Mr Smith seems like he knows wine... to the point he thumbs his nose at anything that doesn't meet his snobbish expectations. Perhaps his book should be titled "How to be a Wine Snob in 152 pages"...

It's not bad. A big chunk of the book are just stories that Jeff Smith has about his clients. Not a ton of useful information but it's not bad.

The author assumes we all have the ability to acquire a 4,000 bottle collection of wine, and at times looks down upon those of us who enjoy wine, but don't have the proper credentials to qualify as wine snobs. This book needs more practical support for those people who want to collect a variety of good value wines, and store them over time. This book does not deliver on that point.

I bought this book based on receomendation in Wine Spectator, hoping to learn more as i may wish to build wine cellar. Well, I learned little if anything from this book, except that the writer has a very high opinion of himself. My advice: look elsewhere.

Now, I get it. My wines were a mess, but The Best Cellar is a huge help in getting my cellar organized. It is also enjoyable to read.

Witty and humorous and packed with real-world examples that stay in your memory.

In my opinion this book is really more about wine collecting then it is wine cellars. There is some decent info about building and keeping a wine cellar but the most of the pertinent information on that subject in this book could have ended on chapter 3 possibly 4 if you're interested in cataloging your wine. The bulk of this book is made up the author's personal antidotes that might give some insight into wine cellaring but can be difficult to trudge through while he uses terms like "grocery store wine", blasts the wine critic in the Wall Street Journal for recommending cheap wine (gasp!), or tells the story of how his dad first started cellaring wine using the closet in the maids room in the back of his house "leaving just enough space for the poor woman to hang a single with dress uniform on a single wire hanger". If you need a 152 page book that has 70 pages on the core components of building a wine cellar shouted down to you from a very high horse... this is the book for you.

Carte du Vin proprietor Jeff Smith spins highly entertaining tales and offers excellent practical advice largely based on his time in other people's cellars. Depending on your wine budget, Smith's experiences will offer either vicarious thrills or buying suggestions. Those with small cellars will want to organize them using Smith's system. Those with large cellars will want to hire this man.

I find this book to be a delightful and easy way for me to relax, de-stress, and take brief refuge from the hectic world around me. Solving just one puzzle helps me metaphorically scrub the detritus buildup in my brain that collected during my day. And, the Meta-Thought (tm) usually after completing the puzzle inspires me, and sometimes gets woven into the fabric of my world view.

I got these for my daughter's birthday since she's into yoga, spiritualism, and word puzzles. What a perfect combination! The puzzles aren't ridiculously challenging, which suits us just fine, and they do get more difficult as one progresses, as is typical of most puzzle books. Highly recommended!

I bought two one for me and one for a friend battling cancer. I really think it is motivating. Thank you

I have been working through the puzzles and text of The Word Search Sage for a couple of weeks and have been delighted and challenged with what I have found in the pages of Cristina Smithâ€™s new book. I have taken notes along the way and now can report on some of what I have learned and applied to my life and work.In puzzle 5, Possibility, Cristina recommends that we â€œCarefully begin to share yourself. Help others and yourself. You are more than you know.â€ Sadly, selfishness and self-centeredness are at the heart of our American culture. Competition -- â€œShow me a good loser and Iâ€™ll show you a loserâ€ -- is too often our mindset, whereas cooperation, finding ways for everyone to win, is in short supply in America today. Throughout her book Cristina shows us that there is enough for everyone.In puzzle ten, Heart Vision, Cristina tells us â€œto be true to yourselfâ€ and Shakespeare completes her thought with â€œthou canst not then be false to any man.â€ As the Little Prince tells us, â€œIt is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eyes.â€ Cristina would agree and later on recommend meditation as a means of looking deeply into our heart to find our true selves.In puzzle 12, Say Yes!, Cristina concludes this chapter by suggesting that â€œThe only way we can fail is to not try. Say Yes! Do your best.â€ Each puzzle has a hidden message and the message for this puzzle appropriately is â€œYou are never less because you have tried.â€ The words that we find in each puzzle and the hidden message all support and reinforce the theme for each chapter.In puzzle 21, Infinite Possibilities, Cristina tells us to â€œAsk and you shall receive. Her books and her message are for everyone, young and old alike and everyone will find something to like as they do each puzzle, find the hidden message, and reflect on and then apply the text to living in the Now, the only time there is for any of us.And so we come to the end of the book and in puzzle 60, the last puzzle, Evolution, Cristina concludes with â€œEnjoy living your life and sharing it with the people around you.â€ We started this review with cooperation and we end with sharing. In each puzzle we connect the words, find the hidden message, and relate the text to our life and work; we are challenged to reach out to the important people in our life and live a life of compassion and understanding. Always Cristina reminds us that we are not alone. We are here to help and be helped, love and be loved, to live and let live. The Word Search Sage on every page gives us sage advice. Now is the time to put this advice to work.

I knew I would likely love this book as I loved the two that came in the series before it (another word search book and a sudoku book). Indeed, it lived up to my expectations and was just as awesome as the first two! I absolutely love how Cristina and Rick Smith create these puzzle books that combine spirituality, new age mysticism, and puzzles! I can get my daily inspiration and meditation while I have fun doing puzzles! What could be better? The messages in this book are awesome, just as good as the first word search!
